Herb’s ministry passion is relationships, and he believes strongly in the ministry of small groups. Herb believes that “we are created for relationships – principally with God, and also with each other. From a personal, abiding, and maturing relationship with God, flow all of the best things in life.” Herb Halstead holds a Bachelor of Arts in Pastoral Ministries from Nazarene Bible College (Colorado Springs), and is currently pursuing his Master’s of Architecture. Herb’s interests are eclectic. He enjoys technology, fishing, hunting, archery, camping, and music. Herb’s bride, Angel, is a licensed school teacher who loves children and youth. Angel formerly directed the Tennessee IMPACT Team, and also believes strongly in the ministry of small groups.
Herb and Angel have two children: Christina, and Richard. Christina is a gifted musician and graduate of Trevecca Nazarene University (Nashville), and is pursuing a career as a school teacher. She and her husband Jason have a daughter, Genevieve. Richard is also a talented musician who loves to put the speakers on his amplifier to task. He and his wife, Kaity, are also graduates of Trevecca Nazarene University.
The family dog, Molly Grace, a black-lab / retriever mix, is a quirky girl who loves spending her days enjoying the outside, but prefers a comfy bed inside for the night.
